Since 2005, The Mixx has been a Kansas City staple for its “healthy eating” meets “comfort food” menu of salads, sandwiches and more. But with a stale brand identity, it was time for a refresh.
With the need for energy, creativity and local love, we brought in illustrator and designer Frank Norton as the perfect choice to develop a new brand system. We extended his designs to a responsive new website, making online ordering easier than ever. To make the brand relaunch as impactful as possible, our strategy proposed a partnership with Whole30 — making The Mixx the only local Whole30 Approved restaurant in Kansas City.
Customers loved The Mixx’s new Specialty Diet Menu, featuring options for Whole30, Paleo and Keto diets, and employees loved the spirit of the new brand. The Whole30 Approved partnership was covered by local media, including TV, blogs and print, as well as repeated mentions on social media.
